Secretary’s Oct 2014 Message

October is going to be a busy month at Waco 92. October has been designated as Award Month at Waco 92 by our Worshipful Mater. We will be honoring Br. James E. Lowe with the Golden Trowel. Also that night we will recognize those members that have attained 25, 40, and 50+ years of service. I would like to urge all members that can attend to come out and let those brethren know that you appreciate their service to our great fraternity. Letters have been sent out to all our living Past Masters urging them to be in attendance that night.

Waco 92 was proud to put on the Fellowcraft Degree for one of members this past month. To those of you that participated in the degree, thanks for a job well done. The work that we do on our work nights is beginning to show that we take the degrees seriously. Keep up the great work. As a reminder to all members, if you want to work in our degrees, come on out to our work nights to learn the floor work and be a part of our new members as they progress in Masonry.

The holiday season will be here before we know it. Right now the only firm thing on the agenda is the delivering of poinsettias to our widows. That will take place on Saturday, December 20th. We have approximately 40 widows in the Waco area. I will post a schedule on the bulleting board for members to sign up that can help with the delivery. I would like to see at least ten volunteers help with this. If I get more than ten volunteers, that would be great. Toys for Tots and Bell Ringing for the Salvation Amy have yet to be confirmed, but that is in the works, and I will report on it when I get confirmation.

The dues notices for 2015 dues will be out shortly. Please get your dues in as quickly as possible with you receive the dues notice. Dues for 2015 are $75.00. Your 2015 dues card will be required for you to sit in lodge beginning with the January 2015 stated meeting.

Hope to see everyone at our October stated meeting.
