James Craig Pettigrew

Brother “Jim” Pettigrew was born in Abbeville, South Carolina and moved as a child with his family to Washington County, Missouri. Son of John and Sarah Baird Pettigrew. Moved to Victoria County, Texas ca. 1837. Came to Waco in 1851 where he constructed many early buildings. A member of Waco Lodge No. 92, A.F. and A.M., and the Odd Fellows. A charter member of Central Presbyterian Church. (His grave marker was missing at the time of the 1962 cemetery survey.)
