Brother Bob Uzzel Presents on Prince Hall History
At our August Stated Meeting, Brother Bob Uzzel was the educational speaker. His Masonic career began at Waco Lodge and continued via Prince Hall Masonry where he firmly established himself as a nationally recognized Masonic historian and academician. On this occasion, he spoke about the history of African American fraternal societies of many kinds which was a topic upon which he proved most proficient. Bro. Uzzel once served as the Grand Historian of the Prince Hall Grand Lodge of Texas and is a member of the exclusive academic Masonic society of Blue Friars. Guests for the evening came from Georgetown, Wales, and elsewhere. Bro. Uzzel stayed and signed books for some of the attendees after the meeting.
