Making Waco Men Better Since 1852

June 2017 Newsletter

From The East

Brethren,
At the time of this writing, we are hosting a second open house of the Masonic year; I do not know how it will turn out, as it is still a bit early, but we are hoping for a good crowd of public visitors. We have an informative video in the lodge room, a jump house for the little tykes, and a Carter Blood-Mobile for those who may donate blood. We will share the outcome of this open house at the next meeting, 2nd Thursday in June.

We are wrapping up another year at Waco 92, and the end of my year as Worshipful Master. It has been an honor. A lot of good things happened this past year, and there is still much to be done. Please join us in our efforts in the next year for our next worshipful master.

If you have been at lodge the past year, and especially if you have contributed to our efforts this past year, please attend our next meeting, so that I can personally thank you. Since every member has contributed to our efforts, that means all are welcome to attend, and are urged to attend.

Fraternally,
Mark Brickhouse

From the Secretary’s Desk

Greetings Brethren,

This Masonic Year has gone by very fast. All in all we have had a successful year. We have seen several new Masons join our ranks and they are contributing to the order.

We just had our second Open House as mandated by the Grand Master and it went well. If you have not been to lodge lately, I would like to invite you to be a part of this great bunch of Waco 92 brethren.

Final Notice of Non-Payment of Dues have been mailed to those who have not paid their 2017 dues. The deadline for the 2017 dues is Friday, June 23, 2017. If they are not in by that time, the members not paying their dues will go suspended for non-payment of dues. It is a sad moment when the secretary has to suspend a member for non-payment of dues. Please don’t let that happen. Over my years as secretary I have only had to suspend a handful of members. Let’s work to be 100% in dues this year.

I would like to take this time and thank the officers of Waco 92 for their service to the lodge this year. More especially, I would like to say a “JOB WELL DONE” to WM Brickhouse for his leadership this year.

Fraternally yours,
Tom Waden, Secretary
