From the East
Another month has zipped by; in fact, it came and went so quickly, I am late with this message from the east. January was busy with the Grand Lodge annual communication, and Waco 92 was
busy with running the snack bar there. It was another successful year for us, thanks to the severalbrethren who rolled up their sleeves and went to work. Several visiting brethren made a point to thank us for our efforts, so we must be doing something right. On January 20th, for the first time, Waco 92 hosted a concert event at Backyard Barbecue, thanks to the efforts of PM Marshall. Several brethren took advantage of this unique event, which gave those of us who were there an extended opportunity to get to know each other a little better.
During our stated meeting in February, we will be hosting our Masonic widows for dinner; please
join us as we honor these ladies on this special night. In addition, we will be recognizing the brethren who helped to make the snack bar such a great success.

From the Secretary’s Desk
The New Year is in full swing. Grand Lodge was a huge success. Now it is time to get back to lodge business. We have several members working on their proficiency in their respective degrees. Hopefully 2017 will be a good year for Waco 92 as far as growth is concerned.
Dues are still coming in. A First Notice will be sent out to those of you who have not paid around the first of February. Please get your dues in. A Second Notice will go out in April. The Final Notice will go out on June 1, 2017. If dues are not received by June 23, 2017 you will go suspended for non-payment of dues. Last year we only had a hand full that went suspended. Let’s make 2017 a banner year and not have any suspensions.
We will be honoring our widows at the February stated meeting again this year. Please be sure and be at lodge to show these ladies our love and support. We have about forty-four widows in the Waco area alone.
As I said earlier, Grand Lodge was a success. We had plenty of help in the coffee shop this year. Hopefully WM Brickhouse will have a full report on how we did at our February stated meeting. One thing for sure, we did not bring back as many drinks this year as we did last year. We were able to meet many of our brothers from across the state and a few from abroad.
Hope to see you at lodge this month.
