Today, we initiated a gentleman into the Entered Apprentice degree. The ceremony went well and fellowship was enjoyed. This occasion took place on the 164th anniversary of our lodge’s charter. As we reflect on our lodge’s history, I offer lyrics from a song performed at our 100th anniversary by the chorus from St. John’s Methodist Church:
“The eyes of Texas are upon you
Men of Ninety-Two.
And now on this your anniversary
We wish to honor you.
May your standards be the highest,
And God your leader firm and true;
Remember, Brothers, to be worthy
Of Waco Ninety-Two!”
